When do you go to school? Early in the morning (woke up at 6 for the morning prayer and then he studies until 8am), but he only studies Islamic [education]

Anything you would like to see change for talibe your age? Yes (he would like to be able to just go to school and not beg in the streets of Dakar.)

Hi!

The petition is still going strong! Coming soon will be an interview between a child talibe and my aunt who currently lives in Dakar, Senegal. We have decided to give you a firsthand account on how it is being a talibe, so stay tuned for the next week or so for when it is published! Can't wait for you guys to see it!

Happy New Year! We have now reached 101 signatures which is an amazing feat! During the holidays, I passed out small, slips of paper with this url for people to sign and check out the petition. A few more people signed and we have finally gotten over 100 signatures. This is awesome! Let's keep sharing the link and get the word out more!!! love, Fota

Sorry for the delay! After much thought I have decided that the first action will be to distribute posters around local business and neighborhoods to help get the word out. Soon I will attach a copy of the flyer so everyone can begin to print it out and distribute it around their own neighborhoods. We will begin to put the flyers up around the next week or so, just in time for the holiday season.

Long time no see! I have not been posting very much on here, but I have been observing the numbers on the petition--- sadly, we have not grown much in numbers... but have no fear!
